Is three months too fast?
Mar. 19th, 2019 01:23 pmI haven't updated here in a while. I've been busy with work and pulling 12+ hour shifts. I think I did at least 10 hours of overtime last week because I can't trust my crew back to back to back large events. Which is happening again this weekend. Super excited for that.
Also excited to hear everyone complain about being forced to take a lunch.
Things are going well with the boyfriend. I bought him a hoodie with DnD dice arranged as a sword and arrow. It took him a minute to realize that it was for him and not me. (It's a 2XL. The biggest I go is Medium.) Then he almost stated crying. I'm so happy to see him wear it and that he likes it. Even though, I knew that he would have preferred it in black but I got it in blue because he needs more color in his wardrobe. Also it just looked better in blue.
Anyway, we've also been talking about getting our own place. There's so much driving me crazy about my current living situation like how there's three dogs and two cats but none of them are mine and I'm only cool with one of the dogs. Or how I have no space anywhere except for my room. I have maybe half a shelf in the kitchen. Anything I had in the common space gets ruined by the other two dogs. So I've been gathering everything into my room and it is so cluttered now.
He shares a one bedroom apartment with two other people. I've been there once because he was super embarrassed by it even before the other people moved in but it really wasn't as bad as he made it sound of course that was before the second roommate moved in. He says it's not as bad as he was expecting but no idea how long that is going to last though.
So we both have shitty living situations and want to see each other more. The only thing really holding me back from doing it was he didn't have job for a while there. Shortly after we started dating he quit his security job because he was getting injured too often and was working way too much. Then he gave up on the trucking idea because he would miss me too much. I didn't want to feel like I had to support him. I'm fine buying drinks and paying for dinner but I don't make enough to support two people. He understood that and really got busy looking for steady work. Now he has a job! Making pizza at one of our favorite places.
I don't want to jump the gun but I redownloaded the rental app on my phone.
